Fat tires and soft shading invite a gentle scheme: lavender, teal, or peach for the frame, shading it slightly deeper under the tubes, and warm dark gray for those plump tires. Keep the background plain so the little bike stays the whole story. If the frame color is strong, let the tires stay plain; if it is pastel, the seat can carry the contrast instead.
Soft shading is just pressure control — press normally on the lower half of each tube and lightly on top, and the frame rounds itself. The fat tires look plush if you leave a wide, soft highlight along the top of each one instead of a thin line. Two passes with the same pencil beat one hard pass for this effect.
