A horse in a mountain pasture with a wooden fence, pine trees, and a big mountain peak behind it. Medium — best for kids.
This is the full landscape: horse, fence, pines, and a peak. Work back to front. Sky first (a smooth gradient, darker at the top), then the mountain in blue-grays with the snow cap left white, then the pine trees in two or three greens — darker in front, lighter behind.
The pasture and horse come last and get the warmest, richest colors so they feel closest to you. A chestnut or bay coat with a black mane echoes the dark pines without matching them exactly. If you use markers, do the big sky area first while you can still blend it evenly, and save the fine fence lines for pencil.
