A majestic horse rearing up in a wildflower meadow, with fine shading and a detailed mane and tail. Detailed — best for teens and adults.
This rearing pose deserves drama: a deep bay or black coat makes the horse look powerful against a light sky. Build the mane and tail in layers — color the whole shape with a mid-tone first, then add darker strokes following the direction the hair flows, and finish with a few white gel-pen highlights on the longest strands.
Keep the wildflowers bright and varied — purple, gold, and white read well against green grass — but color them slightly softer than the horse so your eye lands on the horse first. A pale wash of blue or peach across the sky, darkest at the top, gives the whole scene a sunset glow.
