A squirrel hops mid-stride holding an acorn, with trees and a pond in the background. Medium — great for kids.
With trees and a pond behind the squirrel, you get a full landscape palette: deep greens and bark browns for the trees, sky blue with a touch of teal for the pond, and a warm chestnut coat for the hopper. Keep the acorn in golden tan so it stays easy to spot against the busier background colors.
Color the background first in lighter shades, then do the squirrel last in richer color so it hops toward you out of the scene. Add white sparkle lines on the pond to suggest ripples, and a soft shadow below the mid-stride body. Darker tree trunks in front and paler ones behind will deepen the distance nicely.
