A sweet cartoon squirrel with big sparkly eyes sits with its paws together. Easy — best for toddlers.
Pastel shades keep this sweet sitter looking gentle — baby peach or the softest tan for the fur, cream for the tummy and paws, and pale pink inside the ears. Leave the sparkles in those big eyes completely white, color around them in deep brown or black, and add a tiny pink nose to complete the cute, friendly face.
Simple one-color-per-shape coloring works beautifully at this size, especially with thick washable markers that cover quickly. Show toddlers how to dot the paws together with a contrasting color so they stand out from the tummy. A few crayon hearts drawn around the squirrel as an addition make a sweet card for someone special when it is finished.
